Februbusy

It's been almost a month since I've posted anything. February has been probably my busiest month ever. Two shows, work, school, life...it's been quite a ride. With not much time on my hands, I haven't really had the chance to upload or post anything. Today, I'm in rehearsal for a show that opens on Thursday, "Kiss of the Spider Woman". Hopefully, I'll have more to say about the show later this week. I have been taking pictures and trying to document things happening this month. So here's what I've been doing (with the help of some trendy instagram editing)

Caprese Salad...I've been cooking a little more

Miscast! And making posters

The Super Bowl

Listening to Jason as always

Learning music and rehearsal

Planning Prom

The Month of Love

Congratulations! We've made it through one whole month of 2012 and now we've reached the month of love: February. I don't know how your January went, but I can honestly say that mine proved to be pretty positive. So I got to thinking about why I felt like I've had a good month and realized that a lot of it had to do with attitude. I've been told too many times that when you put out positive energy, you receive it. You end up attracting positive people to you and pushing the negative ones away. I was lucky enough to spend much of January with really positive people who in some way or another kept me up and feeling grateful. With that said, I did my best to give it right back. I ended up having some incredible experiences this past month that have shaped what I hope 2012 will look like for me.

What I'm getting here is that in order to maintain this feeling of happiness and gratitude, put out positive energy. It's simple to do. It doesn't mean smiling all the time, and it doesn't mean being best friends with everyone you meet. Keep your hopes alive and your dreams in sight. Let the good things in your day out weigh the bad, and if you feel down and out remember that tomorrow is a new day! Every day is another chance to make a change in your life. Yesterday I told a friend how excited I was for February 1st. I like having the feeling of a fresh start. It keeps that positive energy going! She laughed and asked if I feel that way at the start of every, every week, every class, anything that begins. I told her, and I'm telling you, that I do try to let those moments be like trampolines that if you decide to leap on to, launch you into the unknown. Much like what I've talked about in past posts, when you let yourself fall (or fly in this instance) you are letting yourself experience new things. With each new things comes a new beginning and with each beginning comes a fresh positive start.

So I hope that you take this opportunity to really jump into February like a fresh start. Smile, have fun, enjoy, learn, grow, give, get, and put out some positive vibes...you never know what might happen!

Today I'm sharing with you something I discovered a few months back. It's a blog called 1000 Awesome Things and it was later turned into a book called "The Book of Awesome" Just scrolling through the site, you end up smiling and feeling good because...well these things are awesome even if they're so simple!

Happy February!
